RH+O 2011-K III

We've kept the traditional track geometry, with a flat top tube and more upright seat tube and head tube.

Because it uses a shorter stem, RH+O's HERMES is designed with a longer top tube to maximize handlebar clearance for bar spins while still keeping the handlebars in reach

Along with bar clearance, the 60mm stem also enables maximum height and distance when doing jumps and bunny/dolphin hops

The use of a 100mm riser handlebar helps to evenly distribute rider weight from front to back.  The closer the handlebar height is to the seat height, the better it is for trick control.

A 700c front fork coupled with a 650 front wheel offers better acceleration and torque power to the rear wheel.

The HERMES uses a 42t chain wheel with a 19t cog, giving a gear ratio of 2.2.  This is great for wheelie control, and offers 19 skid patches to the 700c rear wheel.

he HERMES is designed with a raised BB of 280mm, giving greater clearance for crank arm and pedals.

30mm offset on the front fork offers maximum wheel clearance,

 so the front wheel doesn't hit your foot when doing a bar spin.

3 months ago I sold a princess bike to an elegant woman called Lydia. She would come to my shop occasionaly for a service on her bike. One day, she told me excitedly, “Sean, you must go to ZhuHai. There are many students in ZhuHai and it is increasingly becoming an artistic city.” Her husband who is a retired diplomatic official of USA is teaching at university there. “The bikes were designed by yourself would be popular to the young people.’’ She said.

After speaking with Lydia, we finally decided to open a Franchise shop there.
I was reminding her to read the website www.rhpluso.com which was designed by me before she left.

A few days later, she shared some news from her daughter to me and was as excited as last time.
‘’ Sean, the website is fantastic, she likes it very much. Your bikes would fit in with the culture of New York.
She likes to design and build many things like you. She has sent me many emails to talk about your designs, products and the new shop.’’ 


數日後.又聽到如同上一回激昂.興奮的口氣:
Sean 你設計的網站太棒了.我女兒好喜歡!
她還告訴我你設計的車就是紐約文化的自行車.
跟你一樣.她也喜歡自己動手裝修.粉刷自己的空間.
她三天兩頭就發Mail 給我談你的設計.
產品與新店面的裝修.

Maybe she feels I have the same passion of design with her daughter and son. Her son is an animation designer in London. Maybe we agree with some designs by mere coincidence.
She wants me to build my dreams without fear and also believe in her intuition and global vision.
(She was a hostess 33 years ago) She is always working me up to do great designs as much as I can.
I was so confused about the move out to the new shop because of the problem of money.
But she was asking me to rent the new shop immediately after she looked it.


也許她在我身上看到他兒女們對於設計的熱愛--(兒子在倫敦做動畫設計師)
也許是我們閑聊時總是不約而同的對某個設計感到讚嘆
她要我相信她的直覺.相信她的國際觀要我放膽逐夢.

礙於租約成本問題
我猶疑不決搬遷新店面的問題
她看完新店面後馬上要我約房東要我租下來

She picked a baby shoe up when we were on the way to new shop yesterday and it means Sean is forwarding the first step in her mind.

昨天她告訴我那天在去看新店面的途中
她撿到一只繡花的娃娃鞋
她心裡想這不就是暗示Sean已經走出了第一步 Baby Step 一般.
